Job summary

The Wealshire in Medina, MN is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to support daily operations and upkeep of our community focused on dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

In this full-time role, you will perform preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and on-call maintenance duties, ensuring safety and comfort for residents. Strong English communication and detail-oriented work are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis (e.g., changing air filters, cleaning ice machines, changing light bulbs).
• Perform minor repairs including toilets, sinks, door closures, locking mechanisms, window blinds, and broken windows.
• Assist with snow and ice removal, light landscaping, and keeping parking lot free of litter and debris.
• Conduct minor appliance maintenance (refrigerators, freezers, dryers, washers, vacuums) per monthly plant checklist.
• Perform interior painting, staining, and drywall repair.
• Help move residents' belongings to assigned rooms.
• Maintain and/or repair water fountains.
• Document all preventative and repair maintenance activities.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.
• Offer suggestions for improvements; participate in on-call rotation.
• Other duties as assigned.
