Gaines Investment Trust is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Gates de Provence Apartments in Dallas, TX. The role focuses on hands-on repairs and proactive upkeep to ensure comfort and safety for residents.

You’ll handle resident service requests, perform preventative maintenance, and prepare units for new residents, while collaborating with a team and maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

New to property management? That's okay. Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, construction, facilities maintenance, or other skilled trades can provide a great foundation for apartment maintenance.

What You’ll Do

• Complete resident service requests and troubleshoot maintenance issues
• Repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and other apartment systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents
• Inspect apartments, common areas, and building systems
• Identify and address maintenance and safety concerns
• Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas
• Provide professional and courteous service to residents

What We’re Looking For

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining equipment or property
• Dependable work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Previous apartment maintenance or skilled trade experience is a plus
• Valid driver's license

Schedule

This position works a five-day schedule and participates in a rotational on-call schedule for after-hours emergency maintenance needs.
