Job summary

Gaines Investment Trust is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Greyson’s Gate Apartments in Dallas, TX. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining apartment homes and common areas to keep communities safe and welcoming.

Responsibilities

• Completing resident service requests promptly and professionally
• Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and other systems
• Performing general repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the community
• Preparing vacant apartments for new residents and ensuring move-in readiness
• Inspecting apartments, common areas, and building systems for maintenance needs
• Assisting with upkeep of amenities, grounds, and common areas

What Does a Maintenance Technician Do?

Maintenance Technicians play an important role in keeping our apartment communities operating safely, efficiently, and at a high standard. They respond to resident service requests, troubleshoot and complete repairs, prepare apartment homes for new residents, and help maintain the overall condition of the community.

Responsibilities may include:

• Completing resident service requests promptly and professionally


• Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and other apartment systems


• Performing general repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the community


• Preparing vacant apartments for new residents, including completing repairs and ensuring homes are move-in ready


• Inspecting apartments, common areas, and building systems for maintenance needs


• Assisting with the upkeep of community amenities, grounds, and common areas


• Identifying and reporting maintenance or safety concerns


• Maintaining tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas


• Providing professional and courteous service when interacting with residents


• Working closely with the onsite team to keep the community operating at a high standard

Schedule Expectations

Maintenance Technicians work a five-day schedule and participate in a rotational on-call schedule to respond to after-hours emergency maintenance needs.

What We Look For

Previous apartment maintenance experience can be valuable, but relevant hands-on experience from other industries may also be a great fit.
