About the Role
As a Community Maintenance Manager at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and welcoming environment of our community facilities. This position requires strong leadership, operational planning, and technical expertise in maintenance management, offering the opportunity to directly influence operational performance, resident satisfaction, and cost-effective upkeep of community infrastructure.

You will collaborate with maintenance staff, external vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely repairs, preventive programs, and resource optimization. This is an onsite role located in Jarrell, TX at FLATZ 487

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex maintenance challenges, and takes pride in delivering high-quality facility operations.

What You’ll Do
• Reviews job orders to determine work priorities and effectively allocates resources
• Schedules and oversees repair and maintenance of equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations
• Conducts regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and prioritize tasks
• Develops and implements preventive maintenance programs to enhance safety and efficiency
• Plans and improves operational procedures to optimize resource utilization
• Monitors quality control and maintenance reports to guide decision-making
• Collaborates with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services and contract negotiations
• Assists in preparing and monitoring the maintenance budget and controlling expenditures
• Fosters positive relationships with residents and resolves maintenance-related concerns
• Leads and promotes safe work practices in compliance with regulatory standards

Who You Are
• 3–5 years of experience in maintenance management or a similar role, including supervisory experience
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in facilities management or a related field preferred
• Proficient in maintenance strategies, building codes, and safety regulations
• Skilled in budget management and preventive maintenance planning
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Capable of analyzing maintenance data to drive continuous improvement
• Eligible to work in the United States

Compensation & Benefits
Below is the expected base salary range for this position. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.
