Job summary

Sanford Health in Sheldon, IA seeks a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our ambulatory care team. The role provides quality, holistic care under supervision of a RN/physician and offers autonomy as the primary nurse for a provider within scope.

You'll contribute to patient comfort, administer medications, document history, and support a varied interdisciplinary team in a community clinic open weekdays with limited evenings and Saturdays. Full-time, day shift.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Currently holds an unencumbered LPN license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
• Obtains and maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients.
• Documents a thorough medical history from patient.
• Contributes to the assessment of patients and administers medications or treatments as ordered.
• Provides technical support to healthcare professionals.
• Counseling patients and family, under the direction of a registered nurse, on prevention and treatment plans.
