Job summary

Sanford Health in Sheldon, IA is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to provide holistic care in an ambulatory setting, under supervision, and to serve as the primary nurse for a provider within scope.

You will document histories, administer medications, and support a diverse patient population while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. The role includes ongoing nursing education and a focus on community impact.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Current unencumbered LPN license with state board and/or multi-state licensure.
• Maintains required department competencies and certifications; IV therapy per ND policy if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients.
• Documents a thorough medical history from patient.
• Contributes to assessment and administers medications or treatments as ordered.
• Provides technical support to healthcare professionals.
• Counseling patients and family on prevention and treatment plans.
