Sanford Health in Sheldon, IA is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our ambulatory nursing care team. The role provides holistic patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse, Advanced Practice Provider or Physician and functions as the primary nurse for a provider within scope.

You will document medical history, administer medications, support care planning, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Currently holds an unencumbered LPN license with State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges.
• Maintains required department competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients.
• Documents a thorough medical history from patient.
• Administers medications or treatments as ordered.
• Provides technical support to healthcare professionals.
• Counsels patients and family on prevention and treatment plans.
