Job summary

InCommunity in Marietta, GA is seeking a dedicated Community Living Support Specialist for full-time work. You will assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living, health care, mobility, and community participation, following ISP plans and safety guidelines.

You will train, document progress, coordinate medical appointments, provide transportation when needed, and collaborate with families and the program team to support meaningful, independent living.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CPR/AED/First Aid certification preferred or achievable within 90 days.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for daily living support.
• Proficiency with basic computer use and documentation is required.
• Personal vehicle and valid Georgia driver’s license are necessary.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass background checks as part of the role.
• Prior experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and support in daily living skills as outlined in ISP.
• Ensure individuals take medications correctly and attend medical appointments.
• Schedule and accompany individuals to medical visits, therapies, and community activities.
• Document progress and ISP updates in Therap portal and other required systems.
• Communicate regularly with Program Manager regarding progress and concerns.
• Advocate for individuals and promote independence and community integration.
