Job summary

New Avenues to Independence, Inc. is seeking a Program Specialist in Ohio to provide direct support to individuals in community-based homes.

You will supervise Direct Support Professionals, ensure that ISP and BSP guidelines are followed, and help coordinate schedules, medical appointments, and training. The role emphasizes leadership, health and safety reporting, and maintaining accurate documentation across the site while reporting to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience with individuals with IDD.
• Minimum one year of supervision experience.
• A valid Ohio driver’s license with 4 points or less on the individuals BMV driving record
• Current Auto Insurance
• Must be able to stay organized while managing multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Welfare of individuals served through direct services provided (hours of billable services depends on number of individuals in the home).
• Maintain knowledge of ISP, BSP, and other service delivery techniques and ensure staff are trained.
• Report any conduct performance issues/actions to Program Developer on a timely basis.
• Timely completion of all position deadlines and staff accountability including payroll-related tasks.
• Orient new staff to household routines and document on-site and individual training.
• Ensure incident reporting procedures are followed and reports are written promptly.
