Job summary

Community Options, Inc. in Columbia, MD is hiring a Full-Time Community Integration Counselor to support individuals with disabilities. The CIC helps participants learn life skills and integrate into the community, with duties across home, community and office settings.

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:00pm shift. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and at least two years of relevant experience. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and encourage individuals to increase their independence.
• Meet with waiver participants in residence, community, or office settings.
• Provide ongoing support for community integration efforts.
• Document progress toward community integration.
• Assist in building a support network within the community.
• Administer medications and ensure documentation.
• Coordinate leisure and volunteer opportunities.
• Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns.
• Drive individuals to medical appointments and activities.
• Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately.
