Job summary

Community Options, Inc. in Manhattan, NY is hiring a Full-Time Community Integration Counselor to help individuals develop daily living and social skills within the community. The CIC works in residences, in the community, or at an office setting.

Starting pay is $18 per hour. Responsibilities include supporting independence, coordinating activities, documenting progress, driving to appointments, and ensuring compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Minimum of two years’ experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to increase independence.
• Meet waiver participants in residences, community, or office settings.
• Provide ongoing support for community integration efforts.
• Document individual progress toward integration goals.
• Coordinate leisure and volunteer opportunities.
• Administer medications and ensure related documentation.
