Job summary

Community Options, Inc. in Baltimore, MD is hiring a Full-Time Community Integration Counselor to assist individuals with learning and life skills in the community. The CIC provides individualized services to help participants manage challenges in daily living.

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour. The role includes driving to appointments, documenting progress, and coordinating leisure activities within the community. Equal opportunity employer committed to inclusion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
• Employment is contingent upon successful background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing checks.

Responsibilities

• Support and encourage individuals to increase independence.
• Meet with waiver participants regularly at home, community, or office.
• Provide ongoing support for community integration efforts.
• Document progress toward community integration goals.
• Assist in building a support network between the individual and the community.
• Administer medications and ensure proper documentation.
• Coordinate leisure and volunteer opportunities.
• Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns.
• Transport individuals to medical appointments and activities.
• Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately.
