Job summary

The Arc Montgomery County is seeking a Direct Support Professional-CLS (Greenery AON) for a part-time role in Silver Spring, MD. The position focuses on providing supports to adults with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, and ensuring safety in daily living and community activities.

The role requires compassion, strong communication, and reliability, with weekend hours and a benchmark incentive program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency or at least 18 years of age and one year of experience
• Valid US driver’s license
• Effective verbal & written communication and computer skills
• Ability to read and write fluently in English and have a good understanding of the English language
• Ability to assist people with activities of daily living, including personal care
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to withstand prolonged standing or walking and frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, and pushing
• Must pass a 6th-grade math and reading test in English as required by the Maryland Board of Nurses.
