Job summary

The Arc Montgomery County is seeking a Direct Support Professional-CLS (Beret) in Silver Spring, MD. Part-time role with shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, 9 am–5 pm, supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community living settings.

You will promote independence, ensure safety, and assist with daily living activities across 30+ homes. Competitive incentives and a welcoming, growth-oriented team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency or at least 18 years of age and one year of experience.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Effective verbal & written communication and computer skills.
• Ability to read and write fluently in English.
• Ability to assist people with activities of daily living.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, pulling and pushing.
• Must pass a 6th-grade math and reading test in English.
