Southeastern Directions for Life seeks a full-time Community Life Facilitator at our Education & Integration school site in Sioux Falls, SD. You will guide adults with developmental disabilities in self-care, social, vocational, independent living, and communication skills.

Responsibilities include family communication, advocacy, team meetings, and ongoing documentation. Must be flexible for emergencies and holidays; Southeast operates 24/7.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in human services or education preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license, car insurance, and acceptable driving record.
• Background checks: fingerprinting, CDSS Central Registry, MVR, and drug screening.

• Teach self-care, social, vocational, independent living and communication skills.
• Communicate with families to maintain positive relationships.
• Advocate for people’s needs and goals; support self-expression.
• Provide community interactions that are safe, clean, and conducive to learning.
• Attend team meetings, program writing, assessments, data, monthly reports, I-Pops, and PCT tools.
• Flexibility for emergencies, inclement weather, and potential holiday work.
