Job summary

Charles County Public Library is seeking a Program and Outreach Associate/Librarian to work with the Community Engagement Department on adult, teen, and children's programming, exhibitions and events. You will assist in planning, development, and implementation of programs, and help coordinate outreach efforts across CCPL branches.

The role requires collaboration with branch managers and staff, handling data collection and reporting, and maintaining program records.

Qualifications

• Ability to gain thorough knowledge of CCPL policies and procedures.
• Strong public relations and public speaking skills as it relates to working with staff, customers, and vendors.
• Ability to market library services in the community.
• Understanding of underserved communities and outreach.

Responsibilities

• Support programming and outreach under the Program and Outreach Manager.
• Assist with purchasing, tracking and follow through on materials for CCPL programs and outreach.
• Coordinate and facilitate adult and youth programming, exhibitions, events and outside presenters.
• Conduct outreach to bring library services to the community and underserved populations.
• Assist with circulation tasks and scheduling programming across CCPL locations.
