Job summary

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice seeks a dynamic business development professional to manage relationships with physicians, hospitals and other referral sources, promoting Enhabit services and programs to support post-acute care transitions. The role aims to grow referrals and improve patient outcomes through education and partnerships.

Requirements include a minimum of two years in healthcare business development, a valid driver license, and strong communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, marketing, or related field or graduate of an approved school of nursing, therapy or social work.
• Minimum two years of experience in healthcare business development, community relations, marketing, or sales.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing Medicare certified home health and hospice operations.
• Valid state driver license and automobile liability insurance as required by law.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• In-office attendance is essential to achieve objectives (except remote positions).

Responsibilities

• Acts as the primary relationship manager between Enhabit and referral sources including physicians, physician practices, hospitals, health systems, inpatient facilities, senior living communities and other healthcare organizations.
• Supports referral growth by educating referral partners about Enhabit services and program requirements to aid post-acute care transitions.
• Contributes to improving patient outcomes and satisfaction by facilitating care transitions and ensuring high-quality service.

Responsibilities

Serves as the primary relationship manager between the company and referral sources including physicians, physician practices, hospitals, health systems, inpatient facilities, senior living communities, professional associations, and other healthcare organizations or progressional. Supports referral growth by providing awareness and education of company services and program requirements to referral sources, patients, families, caregivers and community partners to help navigate post-acute care transitions with the goal of improving patient outcomes, supporting care transition, and promoting exceptional quality and patient / referral source satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Required to have Bachelor's Degree in, healthcare administration, marketing, or related field or a graduate of an approved school of nursing, therapy or social work.
• Highly preferred graduate of an approved school of nursing, therapy or social work.
• Required minimum two years of experience in healthcare business development, community relations, marketing, or sales.
• Required demonstrated experience and understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulatory guidelines governing Medicare certified home health and hospice operations.
• Required to have and maintain a valid state driver license in the current state of residence.
• Required to have and maintain automobile liability insurance, as required by law.
• Required strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • If Clinical:
  • Required to have and maintain clinical license, per state requirements to complete this job in accordance with applicable board's rules.
• Highly preferred experience in home health, hospice, post-acute care, or related healthcare services.
• Preferred previous experience using electronic referral systems and Homecare Homebase (HCHB).
• Preferred established relationships with physicians, hospitals or senior living communities and other referral sources.
• Must maintain dependable transportation in good working condition and be able to safely drive in all types of weather conditions.
• Oral communication, written communication, fluency in English, active listening.
• Demonstrated intermediate technology skills. Especially Microsoft office, including word and excel.
• Other than for designated full-time remote positions, in-office attendance is essential in order to achieve Enhabit objectives, including but not limited to, effective supervision, teamwork, task completion, and other position objectives.
