Job summary

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is seeking a Healthcare Business Development professional in Utah to serve as the primary liaison with physicians, hospitals, and referral sources. You will promote services, educate partners on program requirements, and help optimize post-acute care transitions to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field, 2+ years in healthcare business development or sales, and valid driving credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration, marketing, or related field
• Highly preferred graduate of an approved school of nursing, therapy or social work
• Minimum two years of experience in healthcare business development, community relations, marketing, or sales
• Experience with federal, state, and local laws governing Medicare certified home health and hospice operations
• Valid state driver license and automobile liability insurance
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• If Clinical: must have and maintain clinical license to complete this job
• Home health, hospice, post-acute care experience preferred
• Experience with electronic referral systems and Homecare Homebase (HCHB) preferred
• Established relationships with physicians, hospitals or senior living communities and other referral sources preferred
• Must have dependable transportation and be able to drive in all weather
• Oral communication, written communication, fluency in English, active listening
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel)
• In-office attendance is essential to Enhabit objectives (except remote positions)

Responsibilities

Serves as the primary relationship manager between the company and referral sources including physicians, physician practices, hospitals, health systems, inpatient facilities, senior living communities, professional associations, and other healthcare organizations or progressional. Supports referral growth by providing awareness and education of company services and program requirements to referral sources, patients, families, caregivers and community partners to help navigate post-acute care transitions with the goal of improving patient outcomes, supporting care transition, and promoting exceptional quality and patient / referral source satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Required to have Bachelor's Degree in, healthcare administration, marketing, or related field or a graduate of an approved school of nursing, therapy or social work.
• Highly preferred graduate of an approved school of nursing, therapy or social work.
• Required minimum two years of experience in healthcare business development, community relations, marketing, or sales.
• Required demonstrated experience and understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulatory guidelines governing Medicare certified home health and hospice operations.
• Required to have and maintain a valid state driver license in the current state of residence.
• Required to have and maintain automobile liability insurance, as required by law.
• Required strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • If Clinical:
  • Required to have and maintain clinical license, per state requirements to complete this job in accordance with applicable board's rules.
• Highly preferred experience in home health, hospice, post-acute care, or related healthcare services.
• Preferred previous experience using electronic referral systems and Homecare Homebase (HCHB).
• Preferred established relationships with physicians, hospitals or senior living communities and other referral sources.
• Must maintain dependable transportation in good working condition and be able to safely drive in all types of weather conditions.
• Oral communication, written communication, fluency in English, active listening.
• Demonstrated intermediate technology skills. Especially Microsoft office, including word and excel.
• Other than for designated full-time remote positions, in-office attendance is essential in order to achieve Enhabit objectives, including but not limited to, effective supervision, teamwork, task completion, and other position objectives.
