Job summary

Stella Maris Inc. is expanding its Home Care division in central Maryland and seeking a Community Liaison. This frontline role focuses on sales, marketing, and business development to build referrals for Home Care, Hospice, and Personal Care services.

The ideal candidate has home health or hospice experience, a sales/marketing background, and a valid driver’s license with ability to travel locally. Bachelor’s degree preferred; comprehensive benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Generate referral sources from the assigned territory including hospitals and physicians.
• Maintain and expand contracted relationships to increase referrals.
• Develop marketing plans for community-based services and meet with referral sources.
• Host and attend marketing events for current and prospective vendors.

Responsibilities

The Community Liaison is essentially a health care sales position and is responsible for generating referral sources from the assigned territory. Referral sources may include hospitals, physicians, social workers, retirement communities, skilled nursing facilities, and the general community.

• Manage home care, hospice, and personal care business development plans and maintain referral goals.
• Maintains current contracted relationships and develops new relationships to increase referrals.
• Works collaboratively with available resources to assess and identify opportunities that will meet patient needs.
• Meets with potential clients/families to discuss Stella Maris Community Based Services.
• Develops a marketing plan for community based services and meets with our referral base.
• Host and attend marketing events for current vendors and potential new vendors.

Requirements

• Prior experience in home health or hospice required
• Prior experience in Sales or Marketing a plus
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing, business, or related health field (Years of experience may be used in lieu of degree)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• This position will require local travel to promote Stella Maris Home Care, Hospice and Personal Care
