Job summary

The City of Newnan is seeking a Leisure Services Coordinator to manage community facilities and events in our new Leisure Services Department. The successful candidate will respond to inquiries, coordinate tours, and help promote city-sponsored programs and rentals.

The role requires a university degree or certificate in leisure services or a related field, plus at least 1 year of relevant experience, strong teamwork, and excellent organizational skills.

Qualifications

• University Degree or Certificate in Leisure Services/Recreation or related field and
• Minimum of 1 year experience in coordinating public facilities or
• Equivalent experience and education
• Be a highly motivated team player
• Considerable knowledge of facilities, operations and techniques used in a community recreation program
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other agencies, participants, community leaders and the general public
• Effective organizing skills

Responsibilities

• Respond to public inquiries regarding programs and facilities
• Schedule and execute tours of parks and facilities
• Assist in promoting city sponsored programs, events, and rental facilities
