Job summary

Royal American Management is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support leasing, marketing, resident relations, and budget tasks on-site. Under supervision of the Community Manager, you will help implement company policies and handle administrative duties, while maintaining a welcoming property environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy in financial records, effective communication, and the ability to coordinate with vendors and residents to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform all functions of a Leasing Consultant.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Government issued state ID or valid driver’s license as required.
• Computer literacy.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in One Site preferred.
• Able to step in as acting Community Manager if needed.
• Travel for property business.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, welcoming, supportive environment for residents, visitors, and community associates.
• Assist Community Manager in attracting, screening, and selecting prospective residents per criteria.
• Maintain knowledge of market conditions affecting leasing and operations.
• Assist in developing and executing marketing and advertising campaigns for apartment leasing.
• Assist with development and implementation of resident services programming.
• Maintain sound rent collection procedures and follow up on delinquent accounts.
• Deliver rent deposits to bank and submit documentation.
• Oversee security deposit administration and issue disposition letters and refunds.
• Ensure vendor compliance before work; monitor activities thereafter.
• Prepare annual operating budget with Community Manager and maintain guidelines.
• Monitor landlord-tenant relations and mediate disputes when necessary.
• Enter service requests in maintenance software and review reports.
• Inspect apartments for move-in condition and turnover status.
• Inspect grounds, office, and amenities for cleanliness and maintenance.
