Job summary

Salt Lake City Corporation is seeking a Community Programs Manager to lead Adult Learning initiatives at the Sorenson Campus. The role reports to a Senior Community Programs Manager and oversees planning, development, and implementation of programs for adults.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Art, Education, Public Administration, or closely related field plus three years directly related work experience.
Ability to supervise and train staff, and manage programs effectively.
Knowledge of budgeting, marketing, and promoting programs and events.
Strong written and oral communication, and grant-writing capabilities.

Responsibilities

Manages, plans, develops and implements community activities, including programs, events, staffing, scheduling, and budget administration.
Responsible for fundraising and publicity for programming events and activities; writes or submits grant proposals when needed.
Maintains demographic data, performs needs analyses, sets goals, and monitors program effectiveness.
Supervises staff, seasonal workers, and volunteers, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
