Job summary

Inter-Lakes Community Action Partnership in Flandreau, SD is seeking a Substitute Nutrition Assistant to support meal delivery for the elderly and children via congregate meals, Meals on Wheels, and Head Start.

You will work with the lead cook to prepare and distribute meals that meet dietary needs and preferences, contributing to community welfare and health.

This non-exempt role offers an hourly wage ranging from $13.66 to $19.28, with opportunities to grow in a supportive, diverse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare daily menus, ensuring meals are nutritious and prepared on schedule.
• Record amount and types of special food items for compliance with state and federal agencies.
• Estimate and order food supplies, inventory, and equipment as needed.
• Step in for the cook as needed to ensure continuity of service.
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
