Job summary

YMCA of Memphis & The Mid-South is seeking a Nutrition Services - Production Associate to assist in preparation and delivery of meals for our Food Program. Under supervision, you will help sanitize, store, and handle food, operate packaging equipment, and support timely meal distribution.

The role emphasizes a flexible part-time schedule, basic English communication, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Work a flexible part time schedule.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, speak and understand English.
• Some knowledge of food service and kitchen procedures is preferred.
• Ages 18 and older.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes.
• Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.
• Take and record the temperature of food and food storage areas.
• Operate packaging machinery.
• Pack and place food in refrigerators for storage or in trucks for transport.
• All other duties as assigned.
