Job summary

Amity Foundation seeks a Cook for its Beacon project. The role involves preparing three daily meals, maintaining sanitation and nutrition standards, and following recipes to ensure quality and cost control.

You will work with the Food Service Manager, assist with food ordering, and help train students in cooking and dining room practices while contributing to a community-focused program in Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• One year related culinary experience and/or training or equivalent.
• Must have ServeSafe Certification.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare three balanced meals daily for the program.
• Ensure sanitation, nutrition, and safety are priorities.
• Follow recipes to maintain quality and cost control.
• Assist in ordering and storing food meeting health standards.
• Train and develop students in food service skills.
