Job summary
The YMCA of Orange County is seeking a part-time Karate Instructor for Fullerton, CA. This role includes teaching a weekly Wednesday class and delivering engaging, safe, and effectiveGroup exercise experiences for members.
The ideal candidate will have karate teaching experience, a background in health or exercise science is preferred, and First Aid/CPR certifications are required. Join a community-focused nonprofit dedicated to wellness and youth development.
Qualifications
- Two- or four-year degree in health, exercise science, recreation, or physical activity-related field preferred.
- Coursework in human anatomy, exercise physiology, and kinesiology preferred.
- Up to 2 years of experience in aerobic/anaerobic and strength conditioning required; karate teaching experience required.
Responsibilities
- Inspire healthy lifestyles and motivate participants to reach wellness goals.
- Deliver engaging, safe, and high-quality karate and group fitness classes.
- Foster welcoming spaces and build meaningful member connections.
- Maintain safety and proper care of equipment and facilities.
