The YMCA of Orange County is seeking a part-time Karate Instructor for Fullerton, CA. This role includes teaching a weekly Wednesday class and delivering engaging, safe, and effectiveGroup exercise experiences for members.

The ideal candidate will have karate teaching experience, a background in health or exercise science is preferred, and First Aid/CPR certifications are required. Join a community-focused nonprofit dedicated to wellness and youth development.

Qualifications

• Two- or four-year degree in health, exercise science, recreation, or physical activity-related field preferred.
• Coursework in human anatomy, exercise physiology, and kinesiology preferred.
• Up to 2 years of experience in aerobic/anaerobic and strength conditioning required; karate teaching experience required.

• Salary Range: $23.70 - $28.68 Hourly

The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking a highly engaged, intentional, and service-oriented individual for a part-time Karate Instructor in Orange County.

This role is an opportunity to inspire and empower members by delivering engaging, safe, and effective group exercise classes. This position will look to foster genuine connections, practice exceptional hospitality, and create a safe, positive, and enriching environment where every interaction is meaningful. The Karate Instructor will help to promote healthy lifestyles and reflects our commitment to community well-being.

Location: Fullerton

Work Schedule: Instructor is required to teach a weekly Wednesday class from 3:15pm - 4:15pm.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum Age: 21+ years old.
• Education & Experience:

  • Up to 2 years of experience in aerobic/anaerobic and strength conditioning required.
  • Experience teaching or practicing karate required.

Certifications

• First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).
