Job summary

The Anaheim Family YMCA is seeking part-time Fitness Instructors to lead a range of classes at the YMCA Community Complex and other Anaheim locations. Instructors create lesson plans, adapt formats, supervise participants, and ensure safety while delivering engaging sessions.

Applicants should be 18+, have experience with youth or adults in sports/fitness, and hold NASM or ACE certification (or equivalent). CPR/First Aid must be current, and background checks and health screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience working with youth or adults in sports or fitness.
• Certification in NASM, ACE or equivalent required.
• Background check, drug and alcohol testing, health screening and TB test required.

Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of fitness classes and develop daily lesson plans aligned with YMCA standards.
• Record daily attendance and identify participant needs; ensure safety during class.
• Promote classes to personal contacts, public agencies and community events; lead instructional sessions.
