Job summary

Goodwill Industries in Michigan seeks a compassionate Job Coach to support individuals in obtaining and maintaining community employment through one-on-one training and life skills development. You will assist in completing job task analyses, work one-on-one on interpersonal skills, document progress, and report to the Workforce Manager, helping clients navigate community employment.

A high school diploma or GED is required; bilingual English/Spanish is helpful; First-Aid/CPR/AED certification

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Bilingual English/Spanish helpful.
Experience working with persons with disabilities is helpful.
Must be certified in First-Aid/CPR/AED within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Assist in completing job task analysis for each assigned job site.
Work one-on-one with job coach on interpersonal skills, production, work quality, and other life skills as outlined in an individualized employment plan.
Provide assistance to people to help them obtain and maintain community employment.
Assist people in learning job skills at job sites in the community to obtain and maintain employment.
Maintains documentation of individual activity and submit reports to appropriate Workforce Development staff.
Conducts one-on-one meetings with person.
Reports weekly to the Workforce Manager to give an overview of progress with assigned people in services.
