Job summary

ARC Voyagers in Columbus, OH is seeking an ASPIRE Community Integration Specialist (CIS) to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build independence, explore communities, and achieve meaningful personal outcomes. The CIS provides person-centered support, mentorship, and encouragement.

You’ll create meaningful experiences through community activities, assist with daily living tasks, and coordinate local events aligned with each person’s goals.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable working independently while staying organized and professional.
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Create meaningful experiences by helping individuals participate in community activities.
• Support daily living activities, personal care, and health maintenance.
• Build community connections and coordinate events aligned with individual goals.
• Teach and coach new skills in real-world settings and encourage growth.
• Provide transportation to activities, appointments, and community outings as needed.
• Document services and help maintain compliance with CMS, DODD, OOD, and CARF standards.
• Create a safe, healthy environment for every individual served.
• Support individuals to live fuller, more connected lives.
