Job summary

SCMCAA seeks a Community Outreach Coordinator in Missouri to interview clients, gather demographic information, assess needs, and provide direct assistance and referrals to programs for low-income families.

The role includes managing casework, facilitating community projects, delivering presentations, and processing multiple applications for crisis programs in a timely, accurate manner. You will collaborate with staff and partners to empower families toward self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Social Service or related field.
• At least 2 years of related experience.
• Good computer skills; may require keyboarding test.
• Valid Missouri driver's license and liability auto insurance.
• Strong knowledge of community resources and public speaking experience.
• Willingness to travel to counties served.

Responsibilities

• Enter client data into MIS, FAMIS, and ROSIE systems.
• Make assessments of families and individuals.
• Make and follow up referrals (600 internal, 300 external).
• Process 90 CSBG information packets and tax returns.
• Process 50 CSBG state tax credits (PTC, CRP).
• Facilitate LIFT classes and track attendance/learning outcomes.
