Job summary

GECU in El Paso, TX is seeking an Level I Accountant to apply accounting principles, analyze financial information and prepare reports under direct supervision.

You will post general ledger entries, assist with monthly/ yearly regulatory reporting, and support audits while ensuring compliance with BSA/AML and OFAC policies. Hours are Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with salary range $22.49 - $43.48 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent with 3 years related experience.
• Detailed knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Assist with monthly and yearly regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors during audits.
• Maintain compliance with BSA/AML, MIP and OFAC.
