Department: Community & Social Impact

Reports To: SVP, Community & Social Impact

Employment Status: Part Time (29 hours per week)

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Hourly Rate: $20

Position Summary

The Community Impact Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the execution and day-to-day operations of the Portland Timbers Community & Social Impact department and the Stand Together platform.

This position serves as an operational resource for the department, coordinating community requests, ticket and experience fulfillment, department communications, scheduling, inventory, reporting, and program logistics. The Coordinator works closely with the Community Impact Manager and SVP, Community & Social Impact, as well as departments across the organization, to help ensure community programs, partnerships, events, and experiences are executed efficiently and professionally.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while providing excellent service to community partners, internal stakeholders, and program participants.

Essential Functions & Major Responsibilities
Department Communications & Administration
  • Manage and monitor Stand Together email accounts and voicemail, ensuring inquiries and requests are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain the Stand Together department calendar, including community activities, events, meetings, appearances, and other department commitments.
  • Assist with scheduling external activities, meetings, and community engagements.
  • Maintain accurate department records, tracking tools, and operational information.
Community Requests, Tickets & Fulfillment
  • Manage incoming community donation and fulfillment requests.
  • Coordinate approved ticket, merchandise, certificate, experience, and suite fulfillment.
  • Manage Tix for Kids ticket distributions and tracking.
  • Create certificates and other materials associated with approved community donations.
  • Coordinate internal and external fulfillment requests and ensure appropriate approvals and documentation are completed.
  • Maintain accurate records of ticket allocations, donated items, and fulfillment activity.
Inventory Management
  • Manage Stand Together merchandise and community inventory.
  • Track distribution of donated and promotional items.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reordering as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
Community Program Support
  • Provide operational and logistical support for Community Impact programs, including:
    • Soccer With Us
    • Rose City Readers
    • Community Starting XI
    • Unified and other league/community initiatives
  • Assist with program preparation, participant and partner coordination, ticketing, materials, and on-site execution as needed.
  • Support game-day community activities, including VIP experiences and Community Starting XI experiences.
League Programs & Activations
  • Participate in league community impact calls as assigned.
  • Assist with league activations, requests, reporting, and required program coordination.
  • Support the collection and maintenance of information needed for league and department reporting.
Creative & Impact Reporting
  • Serve as a Community Impact liaison with the Creative team for department design needs.
  • Coordinate materials and information needed for Community Impact reports and other department collateral.
  • Assist with the collection, organization, and tracking of program information and impact data.
Events & Special Projects
  • Provide operational support for Stand Together Week and other major community initiatives.
  • Assist with club-led and external community projects and activations.
  • Support community-related game-day activities and special experiences.
  • Provide support for other Community & Social Impact projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to professionally represent Stand Together and the Portland Timbers with community partners, program participants, and other external stakeholders.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across departments, particularly with teams supporting ticketing, sales, operations, creative, and community programming.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn new systems and software.
  • Availability to work occasional nights, weekends, matches, community events, and other activities outside traditional business hours as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in community engagement, sports, nonprofit organizations, event coordination, program operations, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating ticketing, events, community programs, or fulfillment operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
Key Areas of Accountability

The Community Impact Coordinator is expected to:

  • Ensure community requests, ticket distributions, and fulfillment activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain reliable operational systems for department scheduling, inventory, tracking, and communications.
  • Provide consistent operational support that contributes to successful delivery of Community Impact programs and experiences.
  • Maintain strong working relationships across the organization to support effective coordination and execution.
  • Contribute to accurate program tracking, reporting, and documentation.
  • Represent the Community & Social Impact department and Stand Together platform professionally and consistently.
