The United Soccer League (USL) is seeking a Fall Intern for its Rodeo SC community outreach initiatives. The role focuses on planning events, youth programs, and content creation to engage local communities.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Sports Management, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
  • Strong passion for community engagement and the power of sports to create positive change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings, weekends, and game days, as required by the sports schedule.
  • Experience with social media platforms and content creation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of community events, appearances, and programs.
  • Support club initiatives related to youth soccer, education, and health & wellness in the community.
  • Help manage relationships with local schools, non-profit organizations, and community partners.
  • Contribute to the development of engaging content for community-focused communications across digital platforms.
  • Assist with tracking and reporting on the impact and reach of community outreach programs.
  • Coordinate volunteer efforts for various community and club events.
  • Perform general administrative tasks to support the Community Outreach department as needed.

The Community Outreach Intern will be an integral part of Rodeo SC's efforts to connect with and serve the local community. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports-based community engagement, helping to build strong relationships, promote the club's values, and make a positive impact. The intern will support various initiatives aimed at fostering community spirit and expanding the club's reach beyond the pitch.
