Job summary

Unity Health Care is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support prescription preparation, medication distribution, and inventory control under the supervision of a Pharmacist. The ideal candidate holds a DC Pharmacy Technician license, has at least 6 months of pertinent experience, and is proficient with pharmacy software and databases.

Qualifications

• Current D.C. Pharmacy Technician License.
• Six months of experience in a hospital, outpatient, or retail pharmacy.
• Proficient with pharmacy data accuracy and stock control.
• Knowledge of federal and DC regulations in pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare prescriptions by counting doses accurately.
• Prepare unit dose and watch-take medications.
• Refer physician calls and medical questions to the Pharmacist.
• Implement inventory control procedures and stock orders.
• Perform checks for expired medications and ensure accuracy.
