Job summary

Home Group Limited is seeking a customer-focused housing support adviser to join the team in North London on a hybrid basis. The role involves face-to-face support with communities, liaising with housing managers, and performing estate tasks such as inspections and liaising with authorities.

The ideal candidate will enjoy variety, delivering excellent service, and be comfortable lone-working on estates. A driving licence is required and a Standard DBS check will be paid by us.

• Must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle insured for business purposes.
• DBS check will be paid for by the employer.

Responsibilities

• Be visible on estates to build links with communities.
• Support housing managers to improve neighbourhoods.
• Handle tasks like voids, liaising with authorities, estate inspections, and meeting contractors on site.
• Record routine safety checks in buildings and communities.
• Keep records, ordering, and arranging payments for works up to date.
• Work hybrid: minimum 2 days in office, 3 days at home; cover North London patch including Barnet, Harrow and Brent.
• Deliver excellent customer service and work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
• Knowledge of housing management helpful; universal credit is a bonus.

What you'll do

• Be visible and proactive on our estates to build strong links with our communities
• Support housing managers with their patches to improve neighbourhoods
• Handle tasks like managing voids, liaising with local authorities, carrying out estate inspections and meeting contractors on site
• Complete and record routine safety checks in buildings and communities
• Keep admin up to date, including records, ordering and arranging payments for works
• Where they will work e.g. hybrid role with minimum 2 days in the office, 3 days working at home and regular visits an our estates. You'll work across our North London patch, covering Barnet (including the Douglas Bader Park regeneration estate), Harrow and Brent.
  A positive, can-do attitude, stay organised and take initiative
• A real passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help your customers.
• Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business and external partners
• Knowledge of housing management and housing law, universal credit is a bonus, not a must
• The ability to use technology to navigate our systems and update customer records
• An appreciation that this is a role where you'll spend much of your time lone working in our local estates.
  Temporary (6 months), full time (37.5 hpw). There may be some flexibility to adapt your working hours, do let us know about this when you meet us at the interview
• We mainly work Monday to Friday and work occasional evenings to meet with customers. The great news is that you'll be able to shape your own diary
• You need to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle insured for business purposes
• You'll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that
