Job summary

Lifesteps, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Direct Care Supervisor in the Homer City area. This role focuses on providing high-quality care to individuals with special needs, improving their quality of life, and overseeing daily community activities. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years’ experience in human services and a High School Diploma/GED. Qualifications

Full-Time Direct Care Supervisor - Homer City area

Lifesteps is a non‑profit human services organization serving Western Pennsylvania for over 100 years. We provide programs and services to help individuals with special needs live to their fullest potential. This role is for a person with a strong desire to help others and serve the community.

Position Summary

The Supervisor provides high‑quality care to individuals, ensuring respect and dignity. The Supervisor improves the quality of life by helping individuals learn to live independently in home and community. He or she oversees day‑to‑day activities of the Community Home, directs all house staff, and serves as a Residential Companion as part of the direct care team. The full‑time position works daylight shifts, 7 am‑3 pm. Specific job address will be provided upon job offer.

Qualifications

• Required:
• High School Diploma/GED and three (3) years’ experience in human services or a related field
• Current driver’s license and auto insurance
• Ability to lift 200 lb. with assistance
• Ability to obtain FBI, child abuse, and Pennsylvania criminal clearances
• At least 18 years of age or older
• Preferred:
• Associate Degree or equivalent credits (60) and two (2) years of experience in human services, special education, or a related field
• Bachelor’s Degree and one (1) year of experience in human services or a related field
• Supervisory experience and knowledge of 6400, 6500, and/or 2380 regulations (or equivalent)
