Lifesteps is hiring a Full-Time Supervisor to oversee a Residential Group Home and Direct Care Staff in the Glenshaw area.

Position Summary

The Direct Care Supervisor is responsible for the overall management and handling of day‑to‑day operations of the Residential Community Living home.

Supervisor Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of community home staff
• Oversight of care provided to the individuals who have special needs
• Assist with caregiving duties
• Documentations such as fire drills, client progress notes, medication administration, among others

The goal is to improve the quality of life for each person by assisting them to live as independently as possible in their home and community.

Direct Care Supervisor positions are Full‑time 40 hours per week and primarily work the shift of 7 am to 11 pm and 7 am – 3 pm. On‑call duties are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and three (3) years of experience working in a human service, direct care, caregiver, TSS, Home Health Aide, C.N.A., DSP, or related position
• Obtain a Medication Administration Certification within six months of hire
• First Aid/CPR certified within six months of hire
• Lift, push, pull, or move up to 200 lbs. with assistance

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Degree or equivalent credits (60) and 2 years of experience working in a human service or caregiving field
• Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of experience working in a human service, social service, or related field
• Degrees related to Education, Special Education, Counseling, Therapy, Psychology, Sociology, Social Services, Transition Programming, Nursing, Health Administration, or similar are preferred, but any major qualifies
