Job summary

Lifesteps, Inc. in Western Pennsylvania is seeking a Community Homes Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of the Community Home and supervise all house staff. This full-time role supports individuals to live as independently as possible in their home and community.

The schedule runs 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and requires a High School Diploma/GED with current medication administration and First Aid/CPR certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of experience in human services required.
• Medication Administration Certification within 6 months of hire required.
• First Aid/CPR certification within 6 months of hire required.
• Supervisory experience and knowledge of 6400, 6500, and/or 2380 regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of the Community Home and supervise all house staff.
• Serve as Residential Companion and part of the direct care team.

Community Homes Supervisor – Full Time

Lifesteps is a non-profit human services organization which has been serving Western Pennsylvania for over 100 years by “helping individuals and families with life's changing needs”. The agency provides programs and services to help those with special needs live to their fullest potential.

The Supervisor provides a high level of quality care to individuals while ensuring that each individual is treated with respect and dignity. Improves the quality of life for each individual by assisting them in learning to live and function as independently as possible in their home and community. The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and handling the day-to-day activities of the Community Home and for the direct supervision of all house staff. The Supervisor functions as a Residential Companion and is part of the direct care team.

This full‑time position works a schedule of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and three (3) years’ experience working in a human service or related field (Required)
• Obtain a Medication Administration Certification within 6 months of hire (Required)
• First Aid/CPR certified within 6 months of hire (Required)
• Associate Degree or equivalent credits (60) and 2 years of experience working in a human service, Special Education or related field (Preferred)
• Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year experience working in a human service or related field (Preferred)
• Supervisory experience and knowledge of 6400, 6500, and/or 2380 regulations (or equivalent regulations) (Preferred)
