Job summary

First Merchants Bank in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Mortgage Lending professional to grow our home loan business. You will interview applicants, analyze financial data, and prepare loan packages while delivering excellent customer service.

You will cultivate CRA/LMI prospects, coordinate seminars, and work with community partners to expand lending opportunities. Two years of mortgage lending experience and knowledge of conventional or government guidelines are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Two (2) plus years in mortgage lending, consumer lending, credit counseling or homeownership counseling.
• Understanding of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
• Understanding of residential first time home buyer processing, underwriting and closing process.
• Experience presenting financial education workshops with a focus on low and moderate income and minority neighborhoods.
