General Duties: A Community Health Worker (Doula) is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to a mother before, during and shortly after childbirth to help them achieve the healthiest experience possible.

This position requires compliance with the Health Center’s compliance standards, including its Standards of Conduct, Compliance Program, and policies and procedures. Such compliance will be an element considered as part of the regular performance evaluation.
The primary part of work is in a well-lit, ventilated, and air-conditioned facility. It may require prolonged, extensive sitting/standing. This position requires completion of an accredited training program leading to a Kentucky certification of Community Health Workers and completion of an accredited Doula and lactation program. Basic knowledge of computer systems and internet. Certification needed for this position includes certification of Community Health Worker certification by the state of Kentucky.
