Under the supervision of the Public Health Officer, plans, develops, administers, and evaluates community health programs, which conform to the goals and objectives of the department and the regulations and standards of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Directs a professional nursing staff, social worker, hearing and vision technicians and administrative staff who provide community health services to clients within the county. Responsible for the administrative functions of the division, including the development and administration of a number of program budgets. Serves as the HIPPA Privacy and Security Officer for the department.
Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, and five years of progressively more responsible experience in community health services management and operations. Valid Michigan driver’s license. Thorough knowledge of the professional public management techniques involved in budgeting, personnel administration, resource management, and the ability to identify and implement new best practices. Through knowledge of the principles and practices of nursing, public health promotion programming, and providing nursing services and care. Considerable knowledge of immunizations and schedules, communicable diseases, reproductive health issues, administering various health tests, and planning, implementing, and evaluating heath programs.
Current hourly range starting at $42.95 - $55.98/hr (7-year progression) with benefits.
