Job summary

Durham County Government’s Public Health department seeks a Part-Time Health Education position to support family and community resilience. The position involves working with the ACEs and Resilience team, engaging with healthcare providers and community members, and supporting policy literacy and education

Qualifications

• Requires High School graduation or GED with two years of experience in social work, health services, counseling, or related field.
• Experience coordinating information distribution and partnering with community organizations is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the ACEs and Resilience team to collaborate with community partners.
• Distribute information about community events, resources, and programs to providers.
• Identify barriers and strengths to family and community resilience with partners and communities.
• Coordinate educational events on resilience, trauma-informed care, and mental wellbeing.
• Support policy tracking and literacy; attend various meetings.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
