Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred in relevant field.
  • 3–4 years of population health program management and staff supervision.
  • 1–2 years in finance, data analysis, grant management, and community outreach.
  • Experience with electronic health records (Cerner, Athena IDX) preferred.
  • RN license or equivalent (RN, BSN preferred).
  • CPHM / PMP or LCSW preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple community health programs and ensure alignment with policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Lead data collection, reporting, and analysis to evaluate program outcomes and manage expenses, billing, and grants.
  • Collaborate with clinical leads to implement new technologies, systems, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Manage operational workflows including patient care services, staff scheduling, and documentation in the EHR.
  • Select, train, orient, and evaluate staff, maintain performance management and ongoing communication.

Job Summary:

MedStar Health is currently seeking aRegional Program Manager, CommunityHealth,to join our team.

This position is for an experienced Program Manager who is responsible for overseeing daily operations, staff management, administration, community engagement, grant management, financial and program performance data, and more for MedStar Health's community health programs in the Baltimore region.

As a Regional Program Manager, you will ensure operational efficiency, implement protocols, and foster a positive environment for both staff and patients. You will work closely with other clinical leaders to support the department's mission of bridging gaps in health care by improving holistic health outcomes and reducing health disparities.

Primary Duties
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of multiple community health programs, ensuring effective coordination, implementation, and administration. Lead the development and execution of operational strategies to achieve department goals while ensuring adherence to organizational policies, quality standards, and safety regulations
  • Lead efforts in data collection, reporting, and analysis to evaluate program outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement. Track expenses, oversee billing and collections, and ensure financial targets are met for grants and broader operational budgets.
  • Collaborate with clinical leads toimplementnew technologies, systems, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient and staff satisfaction. Coordinate outreach efforts to engage with internal teams, healthcare providers, and community organizations, aligning programobjectiveswith local health needs.
  • Manage operational workflows, including patient care services, staff coverage, scheduling, provide back-up support during peak periods and absences, andoverseeingdocumentation workflows in the electronic health record.
  • Select, train, orient, and assign department staff. Develop standards of performance, evaluate performance, and conduct performance management planning. Initiate or make recommendations for personnel actions. Maintain ongoing communication with subordinates to review programs, provide feedback, discuss new developments, and exchange information.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Social Work, Health Administration, Business, or related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Social Work, Health Administration,Business or related field preferred
  • 3-4years'experience in Population health program management, project management, or managing public health initiatives including the supervision of staff
  • 1 - 2 years' experience in Finance, Data analysis, Grant Management, and Community Outreach preferred
  • Worked with electronic health records (i.e., Cerner, Athena IDX) preferred
  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure, RN BSN preferred
  • CPHM - Certified Professional in Healthcare Management- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Healthcare Administration preferred ORLCSW - License Clinical Social Worker preferred

This position has a hiring range of USD $71,843.00 - USD $135,907.00 /Yr.
