Job summary

Access Community Health Network (ACCESS) is seeking a Referral Coordinator to process referrals and authorizations, assist providers in finding in-network options, and help patients with referral inquiries. You will coordinate across departments to ensure timely scheduling and complete referral workflows.

Qualified candidates bring 1+ year in clinical office settings, EHR experience (EPIC a plus), and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical office or health care environment (patient registration, referrals, medical assisting or customer service).
• 1 year of EHR experience preferred; EPIC is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Beginning proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Work with Payors/Plans to process referrals/authorizations to completion according to policy and procedure.
• Assist Access Clinic providers/staff in identifying in-network providers for referred services.
• Assist patients with questions regarding referrals.
• Coordinate with other departments and facilities to schedule appointments and provide necessary information.
