Job summary

Kokua Kalihi Valley (KKV) in Honolulu, Hawaii, is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee insurance eligibility services and patient intake across clinical departments. You will ensure accurate data collection for billing, enhance internal efficiency, and coordinate with Medical, Behavioral Health, MCH, and Optometry teams.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication skills, required.
• Experience in leadership and management skills, required.
• Ability to work in a team setting, required.
• Proficient in computer patient care software including EMRs, preferred.
• Education: High school diploma, required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, preferred.
• Possess clean criminal background check, required.

Responsibilities

• Manage, direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in all insurance eligibility services and in patient intake for clinical departments, including collection of accurate information for billing, checking in patients, customer service and insurance verification.
• Work with staff to enhance the efficiency of the operational flow internally and with partnering departments (i.e. Medical, Behavioral Health, MCH, Optometry).
• Work with billing/accounting department on denials management, collection of copays and payments.
• The Operations Manager will ensure that the department is accurately processing patient and financial data.
