Kokua Smiles in Honolulu is seeking an experienced Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Honolulu practice. The ideal candidate will have dental office management experience, strong leadership, and a thorough understanding of dental practice operations.

The Dental Office Manager will support an efficient, patient-focused environment while ensuring the practice meets its operational, financial, and compliance goals. Strong knowledge of HIPAA and dental software is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a dental office.
• Strong knowledge of dental insurance processes, billing, and AR.
• Leadership and team development skills.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations and workflow of the dental office
• Lead, train, and support administrative team members
• Manage patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and records
• Monitor accounts receivable, collections, insurance verification, and other financial processes
• Maintain accurate patient records and protect confidential information in accordance with HIPAA requirements
• Promote clear communication and collaboration among doctors, clinical staff, and administrative team members
• Develop and implement office procedures that improve efficiency and patient satisfaction
• Monitor practice performance and help the team achieve operational goals
• Address patient questions or concerns professionally and promptly
• Ensure office policies and applicable healthcare regulations are followed
