Job summary

The Institute for Family Health is hiring a Staff Dentist to deliver comprehensive dental services and support the Dental Director in designated areas. Responsibilities include exams, treatment planning, diagnoses, radiographs, operative/restorative work, and preventive education within a community health center.

Qualified candidates hold a DDS or DMD from an accredited school, with at least two years of general dentistry experience, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and NYS licensure;

Qualifications

• D.D.S. or D.M.D. from an accredited dental school.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a general dentist preferred.
• Demonstrated interpersonal, leadership, supervisory, clinical, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated interest in employment in a community health center.
• Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
• NYS License

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and comprehensive care, including exams, treatment planning, diagnosis, radiographs, operative/restoration, and preventive education.
• Assist the Dental Director in staff recruitment, orientation, and performance appraisal.
• Maintain and compile records and reports as needed (e.g., Federal 330 grant, Health Care Plans, QA).
