Job summary

Related Affordable is seeking a dependable Groundskeeper to maintain exterior grounds, common areas, and property amenities. The role supports safety and cleanliness to reflect company standards and create a welcoming environment for residents and staff.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and ready to be a key part of a supportive team, with experience in groundskeeping and light maintenance, and the ability to handle outdoor conditions and varied tasks.

Qualifications

• Prior groundskeeping, janitorial, or property maintenance experience preferred.
• Light maintenance experience (unit turns) highly preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Snow removal and landscaping experience a plus.
• Comfortable using cleaning agents and equipment.
• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and manage tasks.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Schedule flexibility, including weekends when needed.
• Commitment to exceptional service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Complete requests promptly and interact with residents to meet needs.
• Maintain property grounds, walkways, parking areas and common spaces.
• Perform routine landscaping tasks including trash removal and debris cleanup.
• Assist with light maintenance duties and preventative upkeep.
• Support maintenance team with turns, inspections and preparing vacant units.
• Monitor exterior lighting and report safety issues promptly.
• Keep tools, equipment and supplies organized and safe.
• Follow safety guidelines and comply with property standards.
• Provide courteous, professional service to residents and staff.
• Assist with snow removal or weather-related prep as required.
• Assist with air filter replacement and basic repairs.
• Assist in inventory control of tools and supplies.
• Maintain professional appearance and represent the community positively.
• Perform additional duties to support operational needs.
