Job summary

RuralEdge in Vermont seeks a dedicated coordinator for its Community Garden Program to lead garden planning, resident engagement, and volunteer activities. You will design seasonal plans, facilitate workshops, and ensure strong community partnerships to sustain the program.

The role emphasizes outreach, training, and data tracking to measure participation and outcomes. A strong background in community organizing and collaboration with residents is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities essential.
• Experience coordinating volunteers or community programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development and support of RuralEdge's community garden program.
• Develop seasonal garden plans and coordinate planting, maintenance, and harvesting with residents, volunteers, and staff.
• Engage residents in garden activities and promote leadership and participation.
• Plan and facilitate educational workshops on gardening, nutrition, and food access.
• Secure garden resources and provide educational programming and technical assistance.
